Ἕτερον τετράγωνον παραλληλόγραμμον ὀρθογώνιον, ὃ δὴ καὶ ἑτερόμηκες καλεῖται, οὗ τὸ μὲν μῆκος σχοινίων η, τὸ δὲ ἐμβαδὸν μ· εὑρεῖν αὐτοῦ τὸ πλάτος. ποίησον οὕτως· λαβὲ τῶν μ τὸ η΄· γίνεται ε· καὶ ἔστι τοσούτων σχοινίων τὸ πλάτος. τὸν δὲ μοδισμὸν εὑρεῖν. οὕτως· πολλαπλασίασον τὰ ε τοῦ πλάτους ἐπὶ τὰ η τοῦ μήκους· γίνονται μ· ὧν τὸ U+2220΄ κ· καὶ ἔστι γῆς μοδίων τοσούτων.
