Ἐὰν θέλῃς τὴν διάμετρον εὑρεῖν ἀπὸ τῆς πλευρᾶς, ποίει τὸ ἀνάπαλιν· πάντοτε τὴν πλευρὰν δωδεκάκις· γίνονται πόδες ρ΄· καὶ μερίζω καθολικῶς, ὡς προεῖπον: ὧν ε″ γίνονται πόδες κ΄. ἔσται ἡ διάμετρος τοῦ ὀκταγώνου ποδῶν κ΄.
