Ἐὰν δὲ ἀπὸ τῆς πλευρᾶς εὑρεῖν τὴν διάμετρον, ποίει τὸ ἀνάπαλιν οὕτως· πάντοτε τὴν πλευρὰν πολυπλασίαζε ἐπὶ τὴν ὀνομασίαν τῶν πολυγόνων· οἷον ἐὰν ᾖ τρισκαιδεκάγωνος, ποίει τρισκαιδεκάκις καὶ ἕξεις τὴν διάμετρον .
