Ἀπὸ περιμέτρου καὶ διαμέτρου, τουτέστιν ἐὰν μίξω τὴν διάμετρον καὶ τὴν περίμετρον, τὸ ἐμβαδὸν εὑρεῖν· ποίει οὕτως· ἀπὸ διαμέτρου καὶ περιμέτρου χωρίσαι τὴν διάμετρον καὶ τὴν περίμετρον· ποίει οὕτως· τὰς ἀμφοτέρας φωνὰς ἐπὶ τῶν νζ΄· καὶ μέριζε· ὧν κθ″· ἕξεις τὴν διάμετρον· καὶ τὰ ὑπολειφθέντα ἔσται ἡ περίμετρος. τὸ ἥμισυ τῆς διαμέτρου ἐπὶ τὸ ἥμισυ τῆς περιμέτρου πολυπλασίασον, καὶ ἕξεις τὸ ἐμβαδόν.
