Μέτρησις τετρασείρου, οὗ ἡ διάμετρος ποδῶν θ΄ Ϲ, ἡ δὲ κάθετος ζ΄, τὸ δὲ μῆκος ποδῶν ιγ΄· σύνθες τὴν διάμετρον καὶ τὸ μῆκος· ὧν τὸ Ϲ· ταῦτα ἐφʼ ἑαυτά· καὶ ταῦτα πάλιν ἑνδεκάκις γίνονται πόδες ατ𝒢α΄ Ϲ· ὧν τὸ ιδ″ γίνονται πόδες 𝒢θ΄ δ″· ταῦτα ἐπὶ τὴν κάθετον γίνονται χ𝒢δ΄ Ϲ δ″· καὶ τούτων πρόσθες τὸ ιδ″· γίνονται πόδες μθ΄ Ϲ· ὡς γίνεσθαι ὕψους ψμα΄ Ϲ. ἐὰν δὲ θέλῃς εὑρεῖν αὐτοῦ τὸ βησαλικόν, θὲς τὴν διάμετρον· γίνονται πόδες ια΄ δ″· ταῦτα τρισσάκις καὶ τὸ ζ″· γίνονται πόδες λε΄ δ″· ταῦτα ἐπὶ τὴν κάθετον γίνονται πόδες σμϚ΄ Ϲ δ″.
