Ἔστω τρίγωνον ἀμβλυγώνιον καὶ ἐχέτω τὴν μίαν πλευρὰν ποδῶν ι´ καὶ τὴν βάσιν ποδῶν θ´, καὶ τὴν ὑποτείνουσαν ποδῶν ιζ´, καὶ ἐγγεγράφθω κύκλος· εὑρεῖν αὐτοῦ τὴν διάμετρον· ποιῶ οὕτως· φανερὸν ὅτι τὸ ἐμβαδὸν τοῦ τριγώνου ἐστὶ ποδῶν λϚ´· ταῦτα ἐπὶ τὰ δ´ γίνονται πόδες ρμδ´· καὶ σύνθες τὰς τρεῖς πλευρὰς τοῦ τριγώνου· γίνονται πόδες λϚ´· ἄρτι μέρισον τῶν ρμδ´ τὸ λϚ˝· γίνονται πόδες δ´· ἔσται ἡ διάμετρος τοῦ ἐπιγραφομένου κύκλου ποδῶν δ´.
