Ἔστω τρίγωνον ἀμβλυγώνιον καὶ ἐχέτω τὸ μικρότερον σκέλος ποδῶν ι´, καὶ τὴν βάσιν ποδῶν θ´, καὶ τὴν ὑποτείνουσαν ποδῶν ιζ´, καὶ περιγεγράφθω κύκλος· εὑρεῖν αὐτοῦ τὴν διάμετρον· ποιῶ οὕτως· τὸ μικρότερον σκέλος ἐπὶ τὸ μεῖζον, τὰ ι´ ἐπὶ τὰ ιζ´, γίνονται πόδες ρο´ φανερὸν ὅτι κάθετος τοῦ τριγώνου ἐστὶ ποδῶν η´· ἄρτι μερίζουσι τὸ η˝ τῶν ρο´ γίνονται πόδες κα´ δ˝· ἔσται ἡ διάμετρος τοῦ κύκλου ποδῶν κα´ δ˝.
