Ἔστω κύκλος, οὗ ἡ διάμετρος ποδῶν ιδ´· ἡ δὲ περίμετρος εὑρεθήσεται κατὰ τὴν ἔκθεσιν ποδῶν μδ´· τὸ δὲ ἐμβαδὸν ἐὰν δὲ θέλῃς τὴν μέθοδον τῆς περιμέτρου εὑρεῖν, ποίει οὕτως· πάντοτε τὴν διάμετρον ποίει ἐπὶ τὰ κβ´· γίνονται πόδες τη΄· καὶ πάντοτε μέριζε καθολικῶς παρὰ τὸν ζ΄ · γίνονται μδ΄· ἔσται ἡ περίμετρος ποδῶν μδ΄.
