Στοὰ ἔχουσα τὸ μὲν μῆκος πηχῶν ριδ΄, τὸ δὲ πλάτος πηχῶν ιβ΄ Ϲ· εὑρεῖν πόσους πήχεις στρωτήρων λαμβάνει· ποίει οὕτως· τὸ μῆκος ἐπὶ τὸ πλάτος γίνονται αυκε΄· πρόσθες αὐτοῖς δι᾿ ὅλου τὸ ι˝ · γίνονται ρμβ΄ Ϲ· σύνθες ὁμοῦ· γίνονται αφξζ΄ Ϲ· τοσούτους πήχεις στρωτήρων λήψεται. προσετέθη τὸ ι˝ διὰ τὴν μέλλουσαν ἀπουσίαν γίνεσθαι τοῦ στρωτῆρος.
