Ἥρωνος μετρικά. Τὸ ἰούγερον ἔχει ἀκαίνας σ΄ γεϊκῶν ποδῶν βυ΄· μήκους γὰρ ἔχει ἀκαίνας κδ΄· διαιρεῖται δὲ εἰς κ΄ μέρη ἀνοὰ ιβ΄, γίνονται πόδες σμ΄· πλάτους δὲ ἔχει δώδεκα ἀκαίνας, γίνονται πόδες ρκ΄· ἐὰν δὲ τὸ μῆκος ἐπὶ τὸ πλάτος, γίνονται πόδες β ,ηω΄. ἡ ἄκαινα πόδας ἔχει ιβ΄, γίνονται παλαισταὶ μη΄. ὁ ποὺς ἔχει παλαιστάς δ΄, δακτύλους ιϚ΄. ὁ πῆχυς ὁ εὑθυμετρικὸς ἔχει πόδα ἕνα Ϲ· ὁ πῆχυς ὁ λιθικὸς ἔχει ὁμοίως πόδα α΄ Ϲ, δακτύλους κδ΄. Ἐὰν τὸ πλάτος τοὺς κδ΄ ἐπὶ τοὺς κδ΄, γίνονται δάκτυλοι φοϚ΄· τούτους ἐπὶ τὸ πάχος γίνονται ἀγελαῖοι δάκτυλοι α ,γωκδ΄, ξέσται ὑγροὶ μη΄. ξηρὸς δὲ χωρεῖ μο. ῧ Ἰταλικοὺς λε΄· ἐπὶ λε΄ γίνονται ασκε΄· καὶ ταῦτα πολυπλασίασον ἑνδεκάκις· γίνονται α,γυοε΄.
