Ἔστι κῶνον μετρῆσαι ἀπό τε κλιμάτων καὶ τῆς περὶ τὸν κύκλον διαμέτρου οὕτως· τὰ κλίματα ἀνὰ ποδῶν κ, τῆς δὲ βάσεως ἡ διάμετρος ποδῶν κδ· εὑρεῖν τὴν κάθετον καὶ τὸ στερεόν. ποιῶ οὕτως· ἔλαβον τῆς διαμέτρου τὸ U+2220΄· γίνονται ιβ. ταῦτα ἐφʼ ἑαυτά· γίνονται ρμδ. καὶ τὰ ἀπὸ τοῦ κλίματος κ εφʼ ἑαυτά· γίνονται υ. ἀπὸ τούτων ἆρον τὰ ρμδ· λοιπὰ σνς. τούτων λαβὲ πλευρὰν τετραγωνικήν· γίνονται ιϛ· τοσούτου γίνεται ἡ κάθετος.
