Κύβος τετράγωνος ἰσόπλευρος, οὗ ἡ μὲν βάσις ποδῶν ῑ, τὸ μῆκος ποδῶν ῑ, τὸ ὕψος ποδῶν ῑ· εὑρεῖν αὐτοῦ τὸ στερεόν. ποίει οὕτως· τὰ ῑ τῆς βάσεως ἑξηκοντάκις· γίνονται χ· καὶ ταῦτα ἐπὶ τὰ ῑ τοῦ μήκους· γίνονται ,ϛ· καὶ ταῦτα ἐπὶ τὰ ῑ τοῦ ὕψους· γίνονται ϛ· ὧν τὸ ξ΄· γίνονται ,α. τοσούτων ἔσται ποδῶν τὸ στερεὸν τοῦ κύβου.
