Ἔστω ψαλίς, ἧς ἡ βάσις ποδῶν ιδ, ἡ δὲ κάθετος ποδῶν ζ, τὸ δὲ βάθος ἐχέτω ὁ κατακλειόμενος σφὴν ποδῶν β, τὸ πάχος α U+2220΄· εὑρεῖν τὴν περίμετρον καὶ τὸ στερεόν. σύνθες τὰ ιδ καὶ τὰ ζ· γίνονται κα. τούτοις πρόσθες καθόλου τὸ ἴδιον κα· γίνεται α· ὁμοῦ γίνεται κβ ποδῶν ἡ περίμετρος. καὶ πολυπλασιάζω τὰ β ἐπὶ τὸν α U+2220΄· γίνονται γ. ταῦτα ἐπὶ τὰ κβ· γίνεται ξϛ ποδῶν τὸ στερεόν.
