ἐπεὶ οὖν ἐστιν ἡ κάθετος ποδῶν ζ, εὕρωμεν τὸ στερεὸν οὕτως· σύνθες τοὺς β πόδας τῆς κορυφῆς καὶ τοὺς ῑ πόδας τῆς βάσεως· ὁμοῦ γίνονται πόδες ιβ· ὧν U+2220΄ γίνονται ϛ. ταῦτα ποίει ἐφʼ ἑαυτά· γίνονται πόδες λϛ. πάλιν ὑφεῖλον ἀπὸ τῶν ῑ ποδῶν τῆς κορυφῆς τοὺς β πόδας· λοιπὸν μένουσιν η πόδες· ὧν U+2220΄ γίνονται δ. ταῦτα ἐφʼ ἑαυτά· γίνονται πόδες ιϛ· ὧν γ΄ γίνονται πόδες ε γ΄. ταῦτα πρόσθες τοῖς λϛ· γίνονται ὁμοῦ πόδες μα γ΄. ταῦτα πολυπλασιάζω ἐπὶ τοὺς ζ πόδας τῆς καθέτου· γίνονται πόδες σπθ γ΄. τοσούτων ποδῶν ἔσται τὸ στερεὸν τῆς πυραμίδος.
