Ἐστι δὲ καὶ ἑτέρα μέθοδος ἐπὶ τῶν κεραμίδων ἐὰν ἡ οἶκος ἔχων τὸ μῆκος ποδῶν ξ, τὸ δὲ πλάτος ποδῶν λ, ἄφελε διὰ παντὸς τὸ γ´ μέρος τῶν ξ· λοιπὸν μ. καὶ ἔτι ὁμοίως ἀπὸ τοῦ πλάτους ἀπὸ τῶν λ τὸ γ´· λοιπὸν κ. καὶ πολυπλασίασον τὰ μ ἐπὶ τὰ κ· γίνονται ω. τοσαῦται κεραμίδες ἀναβήσονται ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον. εὕρηται καὶ ταῦτα τῇ μεθόδῳ.
