Ἀμφορὰ ὕδατος κρέμαται τρύπημα ἔχουσα δακτύλων β καὶ συνέβη ἅψασθαι τὸ ὕδωρ τῆς γῆς καὶ κεκενῶσθαι τὴν ἀμφοράν. ζητῶ, ἀπὸ πόσων ποδῶν ἐκρέματο τῆς γῆς. ποιῶ οὕτως· ὅσων ἐὰν εἴπῃ δακτύλων, ἕλκε ἐφʼ ἑαυτά· γίνονται δ. καὶ ἐπειδὴ ὁ ποὺς ἔχει δακτύλους ιϛ, ἐφʼ ἑαυτούς· γίνονται σνϛ. ταῦτα μέριζε παρὰ τὸν δ· γίνονται ξδ. τοσούτων ποδῶν τὸ ὕψος ἦν.
