Δεῖ οὖν εἰδέναι ἐπὶ τῆς μετρήσεως τῶν ὁρίων καὶ λαμβάνειν τὸ ἐμβαδὸν τοῦ παντὸς καὶ ποιεῖν ἐπὶ τὸ ὕψος ἤτοι ἐπὶ τὸ βάθος, καὶ ὅτε εὕρῃς τὸ στερεὸν τοῦ παντὸς τῆς ἀποθέσεως τοῦ σίτου, τότε πρὸς τὸν μόδιον ποίει τὰ μέτρα οὕτως·
