Ἐπιφάνειαν ἤγουν ἐμβαδὸν ἢ χώρησιν τοῦ αὐτοῦ ἡμισφαιρίου τοῦ ἔχοντος διάμετρον ποδῶν ῑ, περίμετρον ποδῶν λᾱ δ΄ ζ΄ κη΄, μετρήσομεν πάντοτε οὕτως· τὴν διάμετρον τῶν ῑ ἐπὶ τοὺς λᾱ δ΄ ζ΄ κη΄ τῆς περιμέτρου· γίνονται τιδ δ΄ κη΄· ὧν τὸ U+2220΄· γίνονται πόδες ρνζ η΄ νϛ΄. τοσούτου ἔσται τὸ ἐμβαδὸν τοῦ ἡμισφαιρίου.
