Τετράσειρον μετρήσομεν, οὗ τὸ μῆκος ποδῶν ϛ καὶ τὸ πλάτος ποδῶν ϛ καὶ ἡ κάθετος ποδῶν γ· εὑρεῖν αὐτοῦ τὸ στερεόν. ποιῶ οὕτως· τὴν διάμετρον ἐπὶ τὸ μῆκος· γίνονται λϛ· ταῦτα ἑνδεκάκις· γίνονται τ𝒢ϛ· ὧν ιδ´ γίνονται κῆ δ´. ταῦτα ἐπὶ τὰ γ τῆς καθέτου· γίνοντάι πόδες πδ U+2220´ δ´ καὶ τὰ ιη δ´· ὁμοῦ γίνονται πόδες ργ. τοσούτων ποδῶν τὸ στερεὸν τοῦ κενώματος.
