μελλήσεως ἢ ἀναβολῆς. ἀρέσκει δὴ δοῦναι φάρμακον δηλητήριον τῷ Κομμόδῳ, ὑπέσχετο δ̓ αὐτὸ ῥᾷστα δώσειν ἡ Μαρκία: εἰώθει γὰρ αὐτὴ κιρνάναι τε καὶ διδόναι τὴν πρώτην πόσιν, ὡς ἥδιον πίοι παῤ ἐρωμένης. ἐλθόντι δὲ αὐτῷ ἀπὸ τοῦ λουτροῦ ἐμβαλοῦσα ἐς κύλικα τοῦ φαρμάκου, οἴνῳ τε κεράσασα εὐώδει, δίδωσιν. ὃ δ̓ ὡς συνήθη φιλοτησίαν, μετὰ πολλὰ λουτρὰ καὶ γυμνάσια τὰ πρὸς θηρία διψῶν, ἔπιεν
