Ἰταλιώταις. ἐπαγγέλλει δὴ ἄκων μὲν καὶ ἀσχάλλων τὴν ἔξοδον: πλὴν τῆς ἀνάγκης αὐτὸν καλούσης, καταλιπών τε δύναμιν ὅσην αὐτάρκη ᾤετο ῥύεσθαι τὰς Ῥωμαίων ὄχθας, τά τε στρατόπεδα καὶ τὰ φρούρια ἐπιμελέστερον τειχίσας καὶ πληρώσας ἕκαστα τοῦ ὡρισμένου στρατοῦ, αὐτὸς ἐς Γερμανοὺς
