21. Καὶ ὁ ἐν Ὀλύνθῳ ὑδρωπικὸς, ἐξαίφνης ἄφωνος, ἔκφρων νύκτα καὶ ἡμέρην, ἐτελεύτησεν. 22. Ὁ δὲ Προδρόμου, θέρεος, ὑπότραυλος, καυσώδης, ἡ γλῶσσά οἱ ὑπόξηρος, ἀσαφής· κάτω πολλὴ ἄφοδος· περιεγένετο.
