τούτου τὸν βίον δοκεῖ ἡμῖν ἀγαπητὸν ἐκθέσθαι, ἐπεὶ κατὰ τὸν αὐτὸν χρόνον ἡμῖν ἐγεγόνει, ὅπως διὰ τοῦ φανῆναι τοῦ τοιούτου τὴν ἀναστροφὴν εὐεπίγνωστος καὶ φανερὰ τοῖς νοῦν ἔχουσιν εὐθὺς γένηται ἡ διὰ τούτου ἐπικεχειρημένη αἵρεσις. οὑτος ἐμαρτύρησεν ἐπὶ φουσκιανοῦ ἐπάρχου ὄντος Ῥώμης· ὁ δὲ τρόπος τῆς αὐτοῦ μαρτυρίας τοιόσδε ἦν·
