εἰ δὲ καὶ εἰς πλεῖστα μέρη διεσπάσθησαν τῷ μακρῷ χρόνῳ, ἀλλὰ γε τὰ κεφαλαιωδέστερα αὐτῶν ἐκθήσομαι, δι᾿ ὡν καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ οἱ φιλομαθεῖς εἴσονται εὐκόλως. τρία γὰρ παραὐτοῖς εἴδη διαιρεῖται, καὶ τοῦ μὲν αἱρετισταί εἰσι Φαρισαῖοι, τοῦ δὲ Σαδδουκαῖοι, ἕτεροι δὲε ἐσσηνοί.
