STEPH. BYZ. s.v. Φενέβηθις· πόλις Αἰγύπτου· τὸ ἐθνικὸν τῶι συνήθει [καὶ] χαρακτῆρι Φενεβηθίτης· οὕτω γὰρ Ὡραπόλλων ὁ φιλόσοφος ἐχρημάτιζεν. PHOT. Bibl. 279 p. 536 a 8: ἐν δὲ τῶι αὐτῶι τεύχει τῶι αὐτῶι περιείχετο μέτρωι (scil. τῶι ἰαμβικῶι) καὶ Ἑρμείου Ἑρμοπολίτου Πάτριά τε τῆς Ἑρμουπόλεως (638) καὶ ἕτερά τινα .... ἔτι δὲ καὶ Ὡραπόλλωνος γραμματικοῦ Περὶ τῶν πατρίων Ἀλεξανδρείας· συντίθησι δὲ καὶ αὐτὸς δράματα τῶι ὁμοίωι τύπωι.
