2. Δαυὶδ δὲ ὁ προφήτης ὁμοῦ καὶ βασιλεύς, ἡ τοῦ σωτηρίου κατὰ σάρκα ῥίζα, μειράκιον χρίεται ὑπὸ Σαμουὴλ εἰς βασιλέα· φησὶν γάρ που αὐτός, ὅτι μικρὸς ἤμην ἐν τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς μου καὶ νεώτερος ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ τοῦ πατρός μου.
