Οὐδὲ γὰρ ἠρκέσθη τῇ ἀπὸ τῆς κτίσεως διδασκαλίᾳ πρὸς θεογνωσίαν φερούσῃ μόνον, ἀλλ' ἐπειδὴ πολλοὶ παρὰ τὴν οἰκείαν ἀγνωμοσύνην οὐδὲν ἐντεῦθεν ἀπώναντο καὶ ἑτέρας ἔτεμεν ὁδοὺς διδασκαλίας καὶ τέλος τὸ κεφάλαιον τῶν ἀγαθῶν εἰργάσατο καὶ τὸν Υἱὸν ἀπέστειλε τὸν ἑαυτοῦ.
