Πρόβατον τὸ θῦμα τὸ ἱερόν· »Αὐτὸς ὡς πρόβατον» γάρ φησιν »ἐπὶ σφαγὴν ἤχθη καὶ ὡς ἀμνὸς ἐναντίον τοῦ κείραντος αὐτὸν ἄφωνος», καὶ Ἰωάννης· »Ἰδοὺ ὁ ἀμνὸς τοῦ Θεοῦ ὁ αἴρων τὴν ἁμαρτίαν τοῦ κόσμου».
