Ὑπολείπεσθαι δ’ αὐτὸν καὶ πρὸς ἄρκτον καὶ πρὸς νότον. ᾿Υπολείπεται τοῦ ἡλίου, φησίν, ὁ κομήτης ποτὲ μὲν πρὸς ἄρκτον, ποτὲ δὲ πρὸς νότον· θέλει γὰρ διὰ τούτων διδάξαι, πότε ποιεῖ κόμην κατ’ ἐκείνους καὶ πότε οὔ. ὥστε καὶ ὅτε ἔλεγε “διὰ τὸ ὑπολείπεσθαι βραδυτάτῳ χρόνῳ” τοῦ ἡλίου ἔλεγεν ὑπολείπεσθαι.
