Καὶ μὴ <τῷ> τῶν τούτου μὲν κινεῖσθαι τὸν καθεύδοντα, ἐπειδὴ κινεῖ τὸν πόδα. Τὸ ὧν εἰσὶν αἱ κινήσεις ἀντὶ τοῦ καθ’ ἅ εἰσιν <αἱ> κινήσεις· τὸ λευκὸν σῶμα <καὶ τὸ μέλαν σῶμα> καθὸ πεποίωνται οὐκοῦν καὶ ἡ λεύκανσις καὶ ἡ μέλανσις εἴδει διαφέρουσιν, τὸ δὲ λευκὸν καὶ γλυκὺ γένει διαφέρει. Οὐ γὰρ ὥσπερ τῆ κατὰ ποιότητα ἑτερότητι τῶν μεταβολῶν ἔχομέν τι κοινὸν ὄνομα τὴν ἀνομοιότητα, οὕτως καὶ ταῖς δύο γενἑσεσι ταῖς ἀνισοταχεσιν ἔχομεν τι κοίνως ἐν ὄνομα κατηγορουμενον.
