LIBAN. or. XIII 25 (II 72, 3 Fö): δεῖ δὲ οὐδέν σοι πρὸς ταῦτα στόματος, ἀλλ' ἀποχρήσει δοῦναι τὴν συγγραφήν, ἣν ὧν αὐτὸς ἔπραξας συνέθηκας, ὁ αὐτὸς γενόμενος καὶ στρατηγὸς καὶ συγγραφεύς. (26) ἀλλ' ἐκεῖνα μέν μοι χορηγήσει πρὸς μῆκος λόγου μικρὸν ὕστερον, ἐπειδὰν εἰς τὸ πᾶν ἀφεῖναι πέλαγος ὁ θεὸς ἐπιτρέπηι κτλ. —epp. 33: κάλλιστον δὲ ὧν ἤκουον τὸ ἐλαύνειν τε τοὺς βαρβάρους καὶ τὰς νίκας εἰς συγγραφὴν ἄγειν, καὶ τὸν αὐτὸν ὄντως ῥήτορά τε εἶναι καὶ στρατηγόν.
