Ἔσθ᾿ ὅτε γὰρ τὸ ἅγιον πνεῦμα καὶ ἐναργῶς πράττεσθαί τι, ὃ τύπος τοῦ μέλλοντος γίνεσθαι ἦν, ἐποίει, ἔσθ᾿ ὅτε δὲ καὶ λόγους ἐφθέγξατο περὶ τῶν ἀποβαίνειν μελλόντων, φθεγγόμενον αὐτοὺς ὡς τότε γινομένων ἢ καὶ γεγενημένων· ἣν τέχνην ἐὰν μὴ εἰδῶσιν οἱ ἐντυγχάνοντες, οὐδὲ παρακολουθῆσαι τοῖς τῶν προφητῶν [fol. 166] λόγοις, ὡς δεῖ, δυνήσονται. Παραδείγματος δὲ χάριν λόγους τινὰς προφητικοὺς εἴποιμ᾿ ἄν, ὅπως παρακολουθήσητε τῷ λεγομένῳ.
