Οὕτω γὰρ κατὰ πάντα ἀθῷος ὑμῶν χάριν εὑρεθήσομαι, εἰ ἀποδείξεις ποιούμενος ἀγωνίζομαι ὑμᾶς πεισθῆναι· ἐὰν δὲ ὑμεῖς, σκληροκάρδιοι μένοντες ἢ ἀσθενεῖς τὴν γνώμην διὰ τὸν ἀφωρισμένον τοῖς Χριστιανοῖς θάνατον, τῷ ἀληθεῖ συντίθεσθαι μὴ βούλησθε, ἑαυτοῖς αἴτιοι φανήσεσθε. Καὶ ἐξαπατᾶτε ἑαυτούς, ὑπονοοῦντες διὰ τὸ εἶναι τοῦ Ἀβραὰμ κατὰ σάρκα σπέρμα [cf. Rom., IX, 7; MT., III, 9, et LUC, III, 8] πάντως κληρονομήσειν τὰ κατηγγελμένα παρὰ τοῦ θεοῦ διὰ τοῦ Χριστοῦ δοθήσεσθαι ἀγαθά.
