Κἀγὼ εἶπον· Ἀκούσατε, φίλοι, τίνι γραφῃ πειθόμενος ταῦτα πράττω. Ἰησοῦς ἐκέλευσεν ἀγαπᾶν καὶ τοὺς ἐχθρούς [cf. MT., V, 44, et LUC, VI, 27], ὅπερ καὶ διὰ Ἡσαίου ἐκεκήρυκτο διὰ πλειόνων, ἐν οἷς καὶ τὸ μυστήριον τῆς πάλιν γενέσεως ἡμῶν, καὶ ἁπλῶς πάντων τῶν τὸν Χριστὸν ἐν Ἱερουσαλὴμ φανήσεσθαι προσδοκώντων κα δι᾿ ἔργων εὐαρεστεῖν αὐτῷ σπουδαζόντων.
