Ἀπὸ ξύλου τῷ Ἀβραὰμ ὤφθη ὁ θεός, ὡς γέγραπται, πρὸς τῇ δρυῒ τῇ Μαμβρῆ [cf. Gen., XVIII, 1]. Ἑβδομήκοντα ἰτέας καὶ δώδεκα πηγὰς εὗρεν ὁ λαὸς [cf. Exod., XV, 27 et Nombr., XXXIII, 9] διαβὰς τὸν Ἰορδάνην. Ἐν ῥάβδῳ καὶ βακτηρίᾳ παρακεκλῆσθαι ὑπὸ τοῦ θεοῦ Δαυῒδ λέγει [cf. Ps., XXII, 4].
