καὶ δή τι καὶ τοιοῦτον γίνεται· ὁ ὕπαρχος | τοῦ ἐπαινεῖσθαι ἐπιθυμῶν μᾶλλον ἢ ἕτερος τοῦ ἄρ χεῖν χρέος μέ τι τοιοῦτον εἰσέπραττεν, ὡς ἂν ἔχων τὴν ἀρχήν, ἧς ἐπιβάντα αὐτὸν ὑπεσχήμην ἐπαινέσεσθαι. προσείρητο μὲν οὖν μοι καὶ φανεὶς εὐθὺς ἐν βραχέσ.ιν, ὁ δὲ αὐτά τε ἐκεῖνα διεργασθῆναι καὶ τῶν ἐνόντων ῥηθῆναι σιωπηθῆναι μηδὲν ἐβούλετο.
