ἐνταῦθα ἔφη τις μέλειν ἐμοῦ τε καὶ τῶν ἐμῶν τῇ Τύχῃ. ἡ δὲ ἐπεισήνεγκε τῇ ἑορτῇ πένθος, ἡλίκον οὐ πρότερον, Εὐσεβίου τε- λευτήν· ὁ δὲ ἦν τῶν ἐμῶν ἀγαλμάτων τὸ κεφάλαιον, ὥστε ᾤμωξε μὲν ἡ γῆ τεθνεῶτος, ᾤμωξαν δὲ αἰ νῆσοι· καὶ γὰρ ἀφῖκτο πανταχοῖ λόγος τρόπων τε πέρι τῶν ἐκείνου καὶ λόγων ἡγοῦντό τε οὐδένα ἐκείνῳ προσό- μοιον ὑπὸ τῆς ἀκτῖνος ἐφορᾶσθαι τοῦ θεοῦ.
