ἐγὼ μὲν οὖν αὐτὸν εἴων ἄρχειν καὶ γίγνεσθαι Κινύραν, ὁ δὲ τοιαύτην κρηπῖδα βαλόμενος ἐπῳκοδόμει, πᾶσι μὲν οἷς ἐνῆν ὑβρίζων, μηχανώμενος δὲ καὶ θάνατον, ξίφος μὲν οὐκ ἀναιρούμενος ἐπ’ ἐμέ, ὂν δ’ ᾤετο πει- νῶντα συκοφαντήσειν, πεινῆν ποιῶν. ἧκε δ’ ἡ <δίκη> παρὰ τῶν θεῶν πάλιν, καὶ οὐκ ἀπερρίμμην, ἀλλ’ ἀπεδεικνύμην ὢν αὐτοῖς | ἐν ἐπιμελείᾳ.
