δεόμενος δὴ συμμάχου τε καὶ φίλου παραστησομένου τε καὶ θαρρυνοῦντος ἐγγύθεν οὐκ ἔμελλε [τοῦτον] δὴ τὸν τοιοῦτον ζητήσειν ὄντος ἐμοῦ, καὶ εἰπόντος δὴ τό τε αὑτοῦ πάθος ὅτου τε χρῄζοι, πρὸς μὲν τῆς ὁδοῦ τὸ μῆκος, οἶμαι, κατώ- κνουν, ἐνίκα δὲ ὅμως ἡ φιλία τὸν ὄκνον, καὶ ἅμα ἐνε- νόουν, ὡς εἴ του φαινοίμην ἐν συνουσίαις ἐπιδεής, ἐκ τῆς αὖθις ἐπὶ ταῦτα πορείας | ἀπολογήσομαι.
