Καὶ ἐκεῖθεν ἐφώδευσα εἰς τὸ μέσον τῆς γῆς καὶ εἶδον τόπον ηὐλογημένον, ἐν ᾧ δένδρα ἔχοντα παραφυάδας μενούσας βλαστούσας τοῦ δένδρου ἐκκοπέντος. κἀκεῖ τεθέαμαι ὄρος ἅγιον. ὑποκάτω τοῦ ὄρους ὕδωρ ἐξ ἀνατολῶν καὶ τὴν ῥύσιν εἶχεν πρὸς νότον. καὶ εἶδον πρὸς ἀνατολὰς ἄλλο ὄρος ὑψηλότερον τούτου καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον αὐτῶν φάραγγαν βαθεῖαν οὐκ ἔχουσαν πλάτος, καὶ δι αὐτῆς ὕδωρ πορεύεται ὑποκάτω ὑπὸ τὸ ὄρος.
