καὶ ἕως μὲν ἐτιμᾶτο, πιστὸν ἑαυτὸν παρεῖχεν· ἐπειδὴ δὲ Πείσανδρον μὲν καὶ Κάλλαισχρον καὶ ἑτέρους ἑώρα προτέρους αὑτοῦ γιγνομένους, τὸ δὲ ὑμέτερον πλῆθος οὐκέτι βουλόμενον τούτων ἀκροᾶσθαι, τότʼ ἤδη διά τε τὸν πρὸς ἐκείνους φθόνον καὶ τὸ παρʼ ὑμῶν δέος μετέσχε τῶν Ἀριστοκράτους ἔργων.
