41. Ἔστι δὲ τῆς ἐκτὸς Γάγγου ποταμοῦ Ἰνδικῆς τὸ μὲν μῆκος, ἧ μακροτάτη τυγχάνει, σταδίων α αχν΄· τὸ δὲ πλάτος, ᾗ πλατυτάτη ἐστὶ, σταδίων α θ. Ἔχει δὲ ἔθνη ἤτοι σατραπείας ν΄, πόλεις δὲ καὶ κώμας ἐπισήμους καὶ ἐμπόρια ξζ΄, ὄρη ἐπίσημα ιη΄, ἀκρωτήρια ἐπίσημα ε΄, λιμένας ἐπισήμους γ΄, κόλπον μέγιστον α΄, νήσους ἐπισήμους λ΄.
