45. Πλέοντι τοίνυν μετὰ τὸν Μέγαν κόλπον καὶ τὸ ἑό. Νότιον ἄκρον ὡς πρὸς τήν μεσημβρίαν καὶ ἀριστερὰν ἔχοντι τήν τε τῶν Σινῶν γῆν καὶ τήν ἀνατολήν, ἐκδὲχεται κόλπος Θηριώδης καλούμενος, διήκων μέχρι τοῦ ἀκρωτηρίου τοῦ καλουμένου Σατύρων ἄκρου. Οἱ πάντες ἀπὸ τοῦ Νοτίου ἄκρου μέχρι τοῦ τῶν Σατύρων ἀκρωτηρίου τοῦ περίπλου τοῦ Θηριώδους κόλπου στάδιοι αφγ΄.
