Ἀλλʼ ἐπεὶ τὸν Ὅμηρον αἰτιᾷ, μεμφόμενον τῷ Γλαύκῳ τῆς ἀμοιβῆς, πότερα καὶ σοὶ ὑπὲρ τοῦ Ὁμήρου ἀπολογητέον, ἢ Ὁμήρῳ ὑπὲρ τοῦ Γλαύκου; Τούτῳ, νὴ Δία· τιμητέος γάρ μοι καὶ πρὸ τῶν ἄλλων Ὅμηρος εἴη, 〈μή〉 τι γε πρὸ δικαστοῦ σου.
