καὶ γὰρ αἱ τροφαί, καὶ τὰ φάρμακα, καὶ τὰ διαιτήματα, καὶ τἄλλα ὅσα τῇ τῶν ἀνθρώπων χρείᾳ ἀνακέκραται, οὐ πᾶσιν ἑξῆς ὅμοια πάντα, ἀλλὰ τὸ αὐτὸ ἤδη τὸν μὲν ἔβλαψεν, τὸν δὲ ὤνησεν· καὶ τὸν μὲν εὔφρανεν, τὸν δὲ ἠνίασεν· ἕκαστον γὰρ τούτων ἡ χρεία καὶ ὁ καιρὸς καὶ ἡ ὑπόθεσις τοῦ βίου ἕτερα ἑτέρῳ φαίνεσθαι ποιεῖ.
