Λέγουσιν οἱ μὲν τριάκοντα σταδίων τοὐλάχιστον πλάτος, οἱ δὲ καὶ τριῶν· Μεγασθένης δὲ, ὅταν ᾖ μέτριος, καὶ ἐς ἑκατὸν εὐρύνεσθαι, βάθος δὲ εἴκοσι ὀργυιῶν τοὐλάχιστον. Ἐπὶ δὲ συμβολῇ τούτου κτλ.
