Μιθριδάτης δὲ ἐνιαυτὸν καὶ μῆνας ὀκτὼ ἐν τοῖς μέρεσι τῆς Ἀρμενίας διατρίβων, οὔπω εἰς ὄψιν κατέστη Τιγράνου. Ἐπεὶ δὲ Τιγράνης ἐδυσωπήθη εἰς θέαν αὐτὸν καταστῆσαι, μετὰ λαμπρᾶς τε τῆς πομπῆς ἀπήντα καὶ βασιλικῶς ἐδεξιοῦτο. Ἐπὶ δὲ τρεῖς ἡμέρας ἀπορρήτως αὐτῷ ὁμιλήσας, ἔπειτα λαμπροτάταις ἑστιάσεσι φιλοφρονησάμενος μυρίους δίδωσιν ἱππεῖς, καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν Πόντον ἐκπέμπει.
