Βοιωτῶν ἔνιοι τοὺς τὸ χρέος οὐκ ἀποδιδόντας εἰς ἀγορὰν ἄγοντες καθίσαι κελεύουσιν, εἶτα κόφινον ἐπιβάλλουσιν αὐτοῖς· ὃς δ ̓ ἂν κοφινωθῇ, ἄτιμος γίνεται. Δοκεῖ δὲ τοῦτο πεπονθέναι καὶ ὁ Εὐριπίδου πατὴρ, Βοιωτὸς ὢν τὸ γένος.
