Πέρας οὐδὲν ὁρῶν τῶν περιεστώτων κακῶν (1), ἔγνω πάλιν εἰς Ῥώμην ἀποστέλλειν, εἴ τι δύναιτο μετριώτερον εὑρεῖν διά τε τῶν φίλων καὶ πρὸς αὐτὸν Καίσαρα τὴν ἐντυχίαν ποιησόμενος· κἀκεῖ μὲν ὁ Δαμασκηνὸς ἀπῄει Νικόλαος.
