1, 1. Ἀφορίζεται μέντοι καὶ ἐκ κοιλίας μητρὸς εἰς τὸ εὐαγγέλιον τοῦ θεοῦ, οὐ διὰ τὴν φύσιν ἔχουσαν τὸ ἐξαίρετον ὑπὲρ τοὺς ἄλλους ἀνθρώπους, ἀλλὰ διὰ τὰς προεγνωσμένας μὲν τῷ θεῷ πρότερον πράξεις ὕστερον δὲ γενομένας ἐκ τῆς παρασκευῆς καὶ <τῆς> προαιρέσεως τῆς ἀποστολικῆς.
